In 2025, Adfert, part of the Indorama group, took a significant step in its sustainability strategy by initiating Year 1 of the Value Chain Sustainability Programme, promoted by the Ethos Institute with support from Mosaic Fertilizantes. This stage marks the beginning of a 3-year ESG development cycle, in which Indorama was recognised among the new participants, along with the multipliers approved in Module 1.
The programme provided a structured diagnosis, enabling a deep understanding of the ESG maturity level of operations, identifying improvement opportunities, and recognising already established practices within the company.
Market integration and the role of ESG maturity.
Throughout the diagnosis, various essential processes were mapped, highlighting advancements such as:
- Greater integration between areas, strengthening communication and internal alignment.
- Evolution in evidence organisation, enhancing information traceability and consistency.
- More robust corporate governance, with a clear view of responsibilities and improvement pathways.
- Identification of opportunities in waste management, efficient water use, and environmental performance.
- Expansion of internal knowledge on critical ESG agenda topics.
These points reinforce Adfert’s commitment to continuously evolve, aligning its practices with market demands, regulations, and global socio-environmental expectations.
Sustainability with impact.
Participation in the programme provided clarity on how to strengthen ESG performance from the origin of production processes. Among the key learnings:
- The need to integrate sustainability into operational and strategic routines.
- The importance of proper management of natural resources, such as water and industrial inputs.
- The role of operational efficiency in reducing impacts and increasing competitiveness.
- How internal good practices help strengthen the position of Adfert and Indorama in the value chain.
These initiatives reinforce the vision that sustainability is not an isolated project, but rather a continuous and strategic component of the business.
Conclusion: ESG as a strategic pillar for the future.
Adfert’s participation in the Value Chain Sustainability Programme represents an important milestone in the company’s ESG evolution. The Year 1 diagnosis expanded organisational maturity and guides new actions for continuous improvement in the coming years.
Alongside Indorama, Adfert reaffirms its commitment to a more efficient, ethical, transparent, and sustainable fertiliser chain, strengthening its role as a protagonist in the responsible transformation of the sector.
